Hertford Arts Hub is a not-for-profit arts organisation, set up in 2016, with support from Hertford Town Council, East Herts District Council and the University of Hertfordshire to develop a new centre for visual art in Hertford.
The organisation is working towards creating a high-quality public gallery in Hertford. This will enhance the town’s facilities for artists and other creative practitioners, build Hertford’s reputation as a regional cultural centre and contribute to its culturally-led regeneration. Our mission,‘To celebrate Hertfordshire’s creative heritage, support contemporary creative practice and learning, and encourage cultural tourism to the county’, will be delivered through a programme of exhibitions and learning opportunities that build on the heritage and legacy of Alan Davie.
Examples of Hertford Arts Hub activities so far include:
Alan Davie: Sunbirds and Skybands Exhibition [2020]
During February and March in 2020 visitors were able to meet and watch multi award-winning artist Laura Hudson at work.
